Personal Mythologies

Personal myths are a wonderful way to give structure and form to feelings and experiences that are difficult to put into words.  I've included four here so you can see how they work, and also because they all deal with aspects of being a boy, man, or all the male processes in between.
As a writer, I often struggle with the temptation to edit these to a cleaner, more grammatically correct version.  However, to do so would detract from the spontaneity of creation and diminish the moment of awareness and understanding.  Thus, these stand as they did when I first experienced them.
As with my poetry, I offer these as examples of how we can work our adolescents at deep levels, how the Masculine and Feminine need to work together, and from the fact I won't ask teens to do anything I won't do myself.  Click on any image to access the mythologies....
