The Raiders

The Raiders, both in Oakland amd
Los Angeles, were some of the first sports clothing used by gangs.  Many schools banned this logo, particularly on coats.

The Raiders have always proudly been black, white and silver.

The Raiders, originally from Oakland, then Los Angeles, and now back in Oakland, were one of the first team logos used by youth gangs.  Back in the late 80's and early 90's, many schools had to ban this team's clothing in particular at school because so many gangs were using the Raiders' black, silver and white.

Gangs in San Francisco/Oakland's
Bay Area, as well as other towns,
 use both colors.

Isn't this convenient for that fact!  Note
none of these red/blue hats are
actually Red, White & Blue, so that's
no excuse...

Even with an immensely loyal following, Oakland has still found a need to produce their hat in both Blue and Red.  Once again we see it is not a red, white and blue spin-off.  Why would a team that is notorious for their tough Black color scheme market these two colors specifically?  Why not orange, purple, or tan?
